Penninghame Joins Savour the Flavours, regional food and drink ...

Penninghame House has been invited to join in on the Flavour Taster weekend which is running over the bank holiday weekend 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th May with our Fish Night cooking class being held on the 4th May.? There are still some places left for this class but are disappearing fast.

For more details of our Fish Night and the other events taking place that weekend visit Flavour Fortnight website.

Flavour Fortnight is organised by regional food and drink group Savour the Flavours and the event in 2011 was funded by LEADER and Dumfries & Galloway Council. It began in 2010 with very modest ambitions but we were absolutely overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of our local food and drink industry who put together a spectacular programme of events stretching from Langholm in the east to Portpatrick in the west.

2011 saw the Flavour Fortnight programme double to nearly 100 delicious events, full of fantastic ideas, innovation and creativity.

2012 is looking very exciting indeed. The Flavour Fortnight is being moved forward one week to include the August Bank Holiday weekend, making it easier for more people to take part, and the new spring event Flavour Taster which will take place over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend.

All the events within Flavour Fortnight and Flavour Taster are hosted by members of Savour the flavours, the organisation that supports Dumfries & Galloway?s food and drink industry. Each event is focused around quality Dumfries & Galloway food and drink..

Delve into Dumfries & Galloway?s food and drink industry during 2012 and discover something deliciously different.
