Purpose of Position:

The Analyst will be involved in articulating data-driven solutions that inform decision making for internal clients and in developing methods or processes for implementation. Applies advanced methods of analysis to help the organization solve problems and make better decisions.

Position Essential Functions:

• Serves as Company-wide focal point for operations research.
• Assists in preparing forecasts and budgets.
• Assists in designing and creating reports.
• Develops forecasts utilizing statistical and trend analysis tools.
• Participates in financial and technical analyses of business activities.
• Supplies research/analysis information to department/executive staff.
• Supports the development and implementation of strategic information systems and works to automate reports and information distribution.
• Coordinates and facilitates Company-wide decision making utilizing databases.
• Establishes and maintains productive business partnerships across the organization.
• Manages expectations of internal customers through direct and routine interaction with internal clients.
• Supports Company?s commitment to a culture of safe work practices.

????????? Evaluates operation processes; identifies, creates and analyzes key operational metrics to support ongoing operational performance improvement.

????????? Assists with process improvements, mapping, documentation and recommendations.

????????? Prepares variance analysis and assists management in understanding monthly variances.

????????? Develops, collects, and maintains analytical tools and databases in support of the overall research planning efforts.

Position Qualifications:

• Bachelor?s degree in Statistics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Graduate degree in related field strongly preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an analytics role for Level 2 position. Additional years of experience required for Level 3 position.
• Prior experience with statistical modeling.
• Knowledge of business plans and strategies as well as familiarity with financial analyses.
• Knowledge of market research and data collection techniques.
• Must have experience in statistical or data mining programming in SAS.
• SQL programming, and prior experience in working with relational databases such as SQL server.
• Report development with Microsoft Reporting Services is a plus.
• Demonstrated skill and ability to produce effective written communication, including report preparation, and statistical documentation for a variety of audiences.
• Demonstrated skill in working across organizational and geographical boundaries.
• Demonstrated ability to be self-managed and apply skills in problem solving and decision-making.
• Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet tight schedules and demanding targets while delivering high quality products; effectively managing competing priorities and reconciling divergent expectations.
• Proven ability to learn new systems and applications.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively on an individual and group presentation basis, including negotiation and facilitation skills and techniques.
• Proven ability to facilitate and coordinate projects, resources, and personnel.
• Possess/maintain a valid Oregon/Washington driver?s license, and have and maintain a satisfactory driving record.

Salary Range:??????????????????? $58,500-$$84,800 (Grade 19) or $63,800-$92,500 (Grade 20) depending on experience
