It?s official! The U.S. Senate has proclaimed July 13 to be National Collector Car?Appreciation Day. The event was started three years ago to celebrate and raise awareness of the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society.
The Senate resolution was passed on May 9 at the request of SAN, or SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Action Network.
Car shows, cruise-ins, and parades are just some of the events planned by individuals, businesses and car clubs across the country. You can find a list of these events by state at the SEMA website. You can also submit information about your own event. Event organizers will be sent a copy of the official Senate Resolution for display.
If you can?t celebrate on July 13, SAN encourages you to schedule events throughout July.
